The Geology and Environmental Cartography Centre (GEOCAMB) and the consolidate research group GAiA (Grup on Applied and Environmental Geology) are formed by Geology professors and researchers of the Environmental Sciences Department of Universitat de Girona.
The group research deals on applied and environmental geology, in particular on geodynamics, land and soil vulnerability ,and the associated natural risks, the study of water resources (surface water and groundwater), their quality and relationship with ecosystems, and the overall influence of the climate change in the water budget.
Geocamb has a well-recognised trajectory on the study of the geological and geoarcheological heritage, and educational research on Earth Science didactics
